“Big Band Saturday”  Podcasts

“Big Band Saturday” is a one-hour  radio program based in Belleville, Ontario, Canada -  devoted mostly to the music of big bands, but also to some smaller-group jazz.  It’s hosted weekly by Andy Sparling, the leader of the Commodores’ Orchestra.

There are two podcasts here. One is a program on the history of the Commodores’,  featuring an interview with the late Stan Wiggins, who led the band until his death in 2003.  The other is one of the most recent programs to have aired on “91X” –  a community radio station affiliated with Loyalist College in Belleville,  Ontario,  Canada.
